Mazatlán is Mexico’s most famous resort city, and for good reason: it is unique, picturesque, beautiful, and safe. It has a rich history with its origins as a trading port, and its rebirth as a resort city. It is Mexico’s most important colonial city and a key economic hub, with Mazatlán’s center being the Zona Dorada (Gold Zone) and the west coast’s El Pueblito and Puerto Vallarta being the Zona Rosa (Pink Zone). A bus carrying one of the bikers from the Zetas cartel was riddled with bullets, and the gangsters from both sides fought until the police arrived. Twelve people died, and the bodies of several other people were found in a house that the gunmen had torched. The Zetas and the Gulf Cartel are currently feuding, and the Sinaloa cartel
