The World of.hack is a living and breathing place with more than the normal World and Under World. There are many islands and locations. Just like a game world. The islands are often used for the quests, but you could live there too.

1. Back at the Airship-1, the first meeting with Faye, Selphie and Raven takes place. The first thing the girls talk about is starting a revolution in the World. The girls are tired of being locked up in a deep underground hole. Faye says they were sealed away in order to save the World from an unknown catastrophe.
2. The girls want to go to the surface, they want to go back home. Some of the girls are more against it then others. Selphie begins to get some distance from the issue because she still loves Faye, and Faye also is somewhat reluctant to leave the base because it would
